The Falklands operation was a quick run shoe string ops with little planning by a country that hasn't invaded anything in a long while. This was a time of need and immediate innovation that CDR Jolly provided. The modification of the cruise liner to a hospit||Jolly manages to convey so much within a relatively small number of pages, the pace of all 74 days of the conflict immediately apparent. Rick Jolly was the Senior Medical Officer in the Falklands, setting up and running the field hospital at Ajax Bay. Rick's diary of the campaign is a fast-paced and gripping account that covers the entire conflict. Incredible stories abound as Rick, a trained commando, saves lives--and risks his own--on a daily basis. Revised and fully updated, this book is a unique firsthand narrative of a conflict that inspired heroism but continues to provoke fierce debate.
