Bary|A well-written, informative recounting of the author's experience as a Cobra and Huey B-model gunship pilot with the 1st Cav in 1968. I liked that he told exciting tales without resorting to theatrics, and with considerable humility. (He share's with us that his first aviation platoon thought he was a poor pilot.)
Mr.|From the Publisher|Nominated for an EVVY Award for books published in 2006.|From the Author|Truly an unforgetable year, flying with the 2/20 ARA (Aerial Rocket Artillery), in the First Cavalry Division in Vietnam, 1968-1969
A young West Texas boy just out of high school, marries and gets drafted into the Army. Then after being married for less than a year he finds himself preparing for the most controversial war of our time. As a naive twenty year old, he becomes part of the Vietnam war and matures into a man. This book presents the intensity and reality as well as a humorous side to America's helicopter war.
